Thank you for a great couple of days in Yokohama.
Evan: Today we had a bit with our host family before we left for Osaka. I personally spent the time trying on a kimono for the first time and going out to a local ramen shop. After that time we said goodbye and headed to a 7-Eleven and grabbed some food for the bullet train (I only got a cool-ish, aka yummy ice cream) and we hopped on the bullet train to Osaka. We wrote a thank you letter to our host family on the train and got a quick glance at mount Fuji before arriving at Osakas hostel.
Collin :we went to Namba, an extremely popular tourist destination with many restaurants and stores. There’s bridges with water underneath, giant octopodes, and Jumbotrons galore.
Most of us went to Bikkuri Donkey, a Japanese-Western restaurant specializing in Hamburg steaks.Cael got an XL melon soda that came in a huge, trophy-shaped goblet!
Afterwards we toured the area, finding a BOOK-OFF (essentially a thrift store), some small arcades with gachapon machines and crane games, and lots of places selling souvenirs.
