Day 7 Part 1: Meiji Shrine / Shibuya / Harajuku/

A view from the Youth Hostel where we stayed last night.

Mai Xia and Douachee:

In the morning today, we went to the Meiji Shrine that is a large Shinto shrine in the Yoyogi district of Tokyo

We bought omamori (good luck charm) and omikuji (paper fortune).

We washed our hands before entering shrine.

After that we went to Takeshita Street in Harajuku.

We ate Marion Crepes and McDonald’s which was REALLY good.

Afterwards, we went to Shibuya. There is a big diagonal crosswalk and there was a huge 3D panda shown on a building! We had free time in Shibuya and most of us headed to Book-Off.

There was only two shelves, so it was really disappointing. We did a lot of shopping such as going to the Mega Donki. It was like a Walmart or Target but with lots of floors. Some students went to the Nintendo store and they were very happy about it. Before leaving Shibuya, we ate takoyaki at a stall. It was a new experience and was very tasty.
