Day 13: Kyoto Free day: Golden Temple/Nijyo Castle and more

Group 1: Koby,Brianne, Stuart, Kaiden and Ian 
Today our group departed early in the morning to head over to Kinkakuji Michi (Golden Temple)

Then our group walked to a nearby book-off (A used hardware and bookstore) which just so happened to be a two mile walk. Many of us got sun burnt.

Group 2 and 3 Eden and Natalie / Luke and Taniesha


Today Eden and I went to Nijo Castle (World Heritage Site)and got a tour of the inside. Then we explored a huge Buddhist temple in the center of Kyoto with bright adornments on the gates. We also visited the Kyoto National museum.
After lunch, we met up with Luke and Taniesha and did karaoke.
Luke and  Taniesha went to  Yasaka shrine and walked around the gardens. 
We headed to the Kyoto Aquarium and saw a dolphin show. 
Group 4: Aisha
Today, in the morning I visited the Higashi Hongan-ji Temple near Kyoto station. 
It was very beautiful. 
At around 9:30 I stopped at a stationery store and picked up a few things for my sister. 
Then, at 10:15, I met with my Japanese teacher and her college friend and we all made Wagashi and drank tea. 

Afterwards we went and painted bags and later got udon for lunch. After lunch we headed to shisendou temple for a bit it was a very pretty place, but we sadly didn’t have a ton of time to look around.
We got together around 5 pm and leave for Hiroshima!
