Day18: TokyoSkytree and free time in Tokyo !

We went up to the Tokyo Sky tree. The official name was decided in a nationwide vote, and was announced on 10 June 2008 as "Tokyo Skytree". The name received around 33,000 votes (30%) out of 110,000 cast, with the second most popular name being "Tokyo Edo Tower".[18]
The height of 634 m (2,080 ft) was selected to be easily remembered. The figures 6 (mu), 3 (sa), 4 (shi) stand for "Musashi", an old name for the region where the Tokyo Skytree stands.

Kobe, Brianne and Aisha bought collectible figurine’s. Afterwards me and Kobe split off from the group to go to a くるくるsushi restaurant. My favorite sushi I had was the tuna belly sushi! Kobe’s favorite was the california roll. At 2:30 the whole group met up and we returned to our host families.

Day 15: Back to Tokyo, National Museum and Karaoke

We left Hiroshima at 6 am to be back to Tokyo by Shinkansen

At 6:20am we boarded the Hikari 500 shinkansen, or bullet train bound for Tokyo. In five hours, we traveled over 800 kilometers, or roughly 500 miles. When I looked on a map, I realized we had practically traveled across the entire main island and back! Riding the bullet train is very fun, you can see little towns nestled into forests, large cities, and the coasts of the Pacific Ocean, all in mere seconds.

After arriving back in Tokyo, we dropped off our backpacks at the Tokyo W Inn. It feels great to have a literal weight lifted from your shoulders.
We visited the National Museum in Ueno.
The Tokyo National Museum features one of the largest and best collections of art and archeological artifacts in Japan, made up of over 100,000 individual items including nearly a hundred national treasures
Then we visited the shopping mall(soramchi) by the Tokyo Skytree.
In from of the popular character by NHK broadcast. His name is 'domo"
After that we went to an informal restaurant. We had fried chicken, pizza, gyoza, cheese sticks with seaweed, fries, and sausages. We talked about our favorite parts of the trip such as our favorite place we went as a group, our favorite Japanese foods, and our favorite place we went with our host families. Then we talked about what surprises us most about Japan,
After dinner we enjoyed the Karaoke Time  at Big Echo
