Zakery: Today we went to Aeon Mall, I didn’t buy anything yet but there was a lot of interesting shops that I’ll have to visit again. I helped prepare dinner for the family with foods like Spinach Sesame and Nikujaga.
Sebastian: Today, my host family went to go plant rice and hang out with some of the other host families. The planting was tedious but very fun. And later for dinner, I helped prep gyoza, which was very delicious to eat.
Lucas: Today, my host family and I went to one of their friends house to plant rice. It was very interesting. Later we went to a restaurant with their grandparents to eat ramen and gyoza, it was super delicious.
Leo: Today we did rice planting! We got a little dirty but it was very fun, Japanese nature is beautiful! Later in the day we made some origami and played with kendama, my host family is very good at both!
Jasmine: In the morning we visited Iwatsuki, we went to a doll museum and then visited doll shops where we saw hinamatsuri dolls. After that we took a small class where we made our own Temari ball keychains!! We then went to Omiya to try some fluffy pancakes for dinner! I also got to visit the planetarium by myself!
Madeline: In the morning I helped my host mom at her bakery! I had so much fun and got to try her homemade apple bread, it was so yummy! Then we went fishing but didn’t find any fish, only a turtle and a crab. Then we ate takoyaki for dinner and played uno.
Hazel: Today, my host family and I traveled to Shimokitazawa to see a band I like perform live. It was so much fun! We explored the area and also found this adorable Lolita fashion shop.
Maipriya: We went to the hair salon in the afternoon and I sat there for four and a half hours straight. Then after we went bowling for fun since I requested it!
Elliana: Today in the morning we went to 7 eleven for breakfast and had a picnic at the park. Then we made takoyaki and dango for lunch. Afterwards, we wore kimonos and did fireworks, and had soba for dinner. It was so much fun!
Jamison: Today we went to karaoke and we made takoyaki it was very fun but i was a little nervous when it was my turn to sing.
Ivan: Today we walked in the garden nearby and went shopping I bought cool items then in the afternoon we made dumplings with the neighbors.
Amelia: Today we went to the zoo and saw lots of interesting animals. Afterwards, we wore Yukatas and lit fireworks.
