Lucas: We went to Enoshima island where we explored a cave, saw the Pacific ocean, and went up the sea candle.
Amelia: Me and Elli went to the ocean and the ports in Odawara and learned all about the history of the town. Afterwards, we went to the Odawara castle and got to see an amazing view of Odawara.
Elliana: Yesterday, Amelia and I went to see the ocean and found tons of seashells! Afterwards, we ate at Kura sushi and had kakikoori, and went to learn about the fishing ports around town.
Afterwards we went to Odawara castle which was a museum on the inside, it was so cool! Finally, we went to a hot spring for our feet, ate yakiniku, and then went to bed :)
Ivan: We met Zak at Hachimangu for a little bit and then went to Kamakura’s Daibutsu and had tonkatsu nearby it was very fun!
Jameson: I went to Yokohama with Hazel and Maipriya for the Pokemon center and we also went to the taito game center.
I also went to Kamakura with my host family we tried on kimonos and took a human-powered taxi
Jasmine: Yesterday morning I went to the Cup Noodle Museum with my host mom! I also got to make my own cup noodle and learned a little more about how the cup noodle was invented.
Afterwards we went to a school festival in Yamate, kids there are super stylish and they had lots of bands playing along with their classroom activities like a maid cafe or a haunted house!
Leo: My host family are big baseball fans and took me to a batting cage, I wasn’t very good but it was fun!
We also went to a street festival and tried various foods, the atmosphere there was great, here is me playing a fish catching game!
Madeline: Yesterday me and my host family started the day by going to Don Quijote (Donki) store where I bought lots of great souvenirs!
Then we went to a cat cafe, there were so many cats and they were all so cute!! Then we ate lunch at an udon place and for dinner we made temaki.
Maipriya: Today, I went to Landmark tower in Yokohama. We shopped around at the big mall, then after, we went to the Cup Noodle museum to customize our own ramen flavoring!
Sebastian: I went with Lucas and our host family to Enoshima Island. We visited most of the island, and got to do a lot of sight seeing
Zak: Today we went to the Hachimangu Shinto Shrine in Kamakura! It was a little bit busy but it was still exciting.
We also rented Haoris and a Kimono to visit the Hasedera Temple and walked the Hydrangea garden path!
