Making them was pretty complicated, just like weaving but they turned out awesome!
After making our keychains and taking a small tour around the factory we went to “kura sushi” (conveyor belt sushi).
There were so many options to choose from and everything was delicious. After clearing a certain amount of plates you got the chance to win a small prize, and luckily about each table got one!
The keychains we made are a perfect souvenir of the trip, and enjoying a meal with friends was very fun and I hope I get to do it again soon.
Leo: Today we made osenbei, which are Japanese rice crackers, they are very tasty! We started with uncooked osenbei and roasted them over a grill. Every 5 seconds we had to flip them, it was a little bit difficult but it was fun! When the osenbei started to rise, we smushed it back down with a special tool and continued to roast them, the ones we made were very tasty!
Later, we painted small bowls that we will pick up at the end of our trip after they’ve been fired. It was a very cool experience and I’m very excited to see how they turned out!
