Day 8: Hakuyo high school, classes, tea ceremony, kendo

We visited Hakuyo High School near Yokohama.

Chenoa and Clay gave speeches telling the faculty where we have been and where we will go. They did a great job!

Our Host families packed us awesome bento lunches!

The challenge in Science class was to build the tallest paper tower using 20 sheets of paper. Tallest was 148 cm by Jocelyn's team! Just plain paper, no tape or glue or anything else.

Next was "Card" club (カード). This is a traditional but fast game, where players try to sweep the correct cards on the tatami mats.

Then we played another traditional game, kind of like Uno, with Monks, Noblemen and Noblewomen on the cards. It was fun, you can lose all your cards in one flip of the card!

Then we went to visit the Kendo club, and practiced with bamboo swords
