Athena: China -town, talking about SAT test in USA
Gina: Pokemon Center, Present (Yukata) from family
Cole: Food! (Tempura, Yakitori, even Japanese Yogurt)
Blake: Japanese BBQ with host brother's friends, Firework at beach
John: Temple visit, Italian foods in Japan
Leah: Pancake Restaurant, Ferris Wheel in Yokohama, Pokemon Center
Tom: Onsen (Hot Spring), Udon noodle soup
Parthan: China-Town, Anime Center
The host families in Yokohama all have high school-age students who go to Hakuyo High School, so we had a lot in common with them. We had the entire day to spend with host families in Yokohama, which has a lot of fun things to do and see.
Some of the places students got to visit:
- Pokemon center
- Studio Ghibli store
- Enoshima island
- Chinatown in Yokohama
- Landmark Tower and Ferris Wheel
- Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse and Shops
- And more!
On Sunday we will take the Bullet Train (Shinkansen) to Osaka. Many Japanese never get a chance to ride it. it's expensive but really fast!
